History...
Akhil Bhartiya Jangid Brahmin Mahasabha is has long history of its formation and development. It was initiated by Dr. Indramani Sharma from Lucknow(UP). He started meeting with local candidates of samaj. Sh. Palaram (Raipurwal- Punjab) met him in 1890. He advised Sh. Palaram to write books and literature for samaj. He also suggested Sh. Goverdhan Das (Mathura) to work for Jangid Samaj.
With the inspiration of Dr. Indramani, Sh. Goverdhan Das Sharma and Sh. Rajaram organised first meeting of Jangid Samaj at Mathura on 30 Dec 1905. After the meeting, it was very much hoped that it will work very efficiently.
Unfortunately in year 1906 and 1907, there was not a single meeting held in these two years. Then on 21 Sept. 1907, samaj candidates from Ajmer (Raj.) come in front and formed a society named as "Jangid (Jog) Mathil Brahmin Sabha". Sh. Nathu Ram Sharma was the president of this Sabha. It was scheduled for six aims.
Then after, it started working. In 1913, it was proposed to shift the head office of Jangira Mahasabha at Delhi. On 4 April 1919, the Mahasabha was got registered. In eighth session of Mahasabha at Jaipur(Raj.) it was decided to change the name of Mahasabha as "Jangid Brahmin Mahasabha".
Smt. Sunder Devi donated her 2 houses for Mahasabha, for which registry was made in favour of Mahasabha on 3 Jan 1927.
